On the last Tuesday of the month, from 2 – 4 pm, the Community Hall is full of fun and laughter as the Evergreens meet. This is an amazing group of senior citizens who come together each month to enjoy each other’s company, play card games, chat, try their hand at quizzes and generally have a good time.
It is run by members of the Community Hall Committee and is free to anyone who would like to come along, you don’t have to live in the area. Some travel from Brecon and we have a couple who come from further afield. As with YFC, the Hall does not charge for its use for this group and it is self funded by a raffle. During the year there is generally a day out (this year we went to St Fagans), and sometimes we go out for a meal before Christmas.
To qualify you simply have to be of pensionable age, and enjoy company – that is probably the best part of the few hours spent together – having a good talk and being with others of the same age. Just turn up on the last Tuesday of the month at 2 pm and you will be most welcome.
