Community Hall
Merthyr Cynog Community Hall is situated in Upper Chapel village, on the B4520, Sat Nav LD3 9RG.
It’s a large, well maintained building with a fully equipped kitchen, disabled access and toilets. It has a projector and large screen, staging and stage lighting. The newly refurbished conderence room has plenty of space, TV, telephone and wifi.
From lively fundraising whist drives and quiz nights to board games evenings, concerts, pantomimes, craft workshops and even drama and youth‑club activities, there’s always something fun happening. These gatherings are a perfect blend of social, creative and community spirit, so whether you’re new to the area or a long‑time local, you’ll find a friendly welcome and a warm atmosphere.
Many groups and organisations also hold regular local meetings and get-togethers such as Pontfaen Young Farmers Club (YFC), the Evergreens and WI. In addition to this there are annual events which take place in the community hall such as our New Year Party, Easter events, the Upper Chapel Eisteddfod, Summer sports and children’s events, Harvest Supper and an enjoyable family Christmas party to finish the year in style.
Full event details and dates are regularly shared on our Merthyr Cynog Community and Merthyr Cynog Community Hall Facebook pages.
