On Monday 15th December the hall played host to the annual Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner. This is a lovely event and very popular, not only with Senior Citizens from within the community, but also with those who live outside the area.
The dinner, this year, was tinged with sadness, as we received the news that Ann Williams, Neuadd, Pontfaen had passed away in the night, so before the meal a few moments silence was observed as a mark of respect.
As usual, the dinner was very well attended with 25 sitting down for the 3 course meal, followed by a sing-a-long of carols after which everyone was given a small gift to take home. It is wonderful to see so many of our senior citizens enjoying each others company, reminiscing, sharing news and generally putting the world to right. So much noise!!!
